A hand-made pot by Barbara Naranjo Martinez (b. 1947), an accomplished Native American artist from the Santa Clara Pueblo. Her mother, Flora Naranjo, was also a successful potter. Martinez is also known as Jo-Povi and Cactus Flower. This carved blackware pot features gracefully arching shoulders intersected by carvings that give the pottery a strong peaceful presence. The pot is a nice size and has a good weight to it. It measures 5” tall and 5” wide.
