A very fine example of San Ildefonso Pueblo pottery, made by one of America’s best 20th Century Native American potters, Carmelita Dunlap (1925-2000). This pot measures 4 ½” in diameter and 3 ½” tall. The bottom of the pot bears the signature of Carmelita Dunlap.
Carmelita Dunlap is considered one of the finest potters of the 20th century. Her work has been displayed at the Smithsonian Institution; she was invited to the White House to be honored for her pottery in 1974.
